{"id":6869,"date":"2022-03-09T10:39:45","date_gmt":"2022-03-09T15:39:45","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/diocesemontreal.wp.vortexdev.com\/en\/news\/news-2\/24-hours-peace-mass-and-adoration\/"},"modified":"2022-03-09T10:39:45","modified_gmt":"2022-03-09T15:39:45","slug":"24-hours-peace-mass-and-adoration","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/diocesemontreal.wp.vortexdev.com\/en\/news\/news-2\/24-hours-peace-mass-and-adoration\/","title":{"rendered":"24 Hours for Peace: Mass and Adoration"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><strong>On Friday, March 11, at 7:30 p.m., one week following publication of his <a href=\"https:\/\/www.diocesemontreal.org\/en\/news-and-info\/latest-news\/pastoral-letter-prayer-ukraine-and-peace\">Pastoral letter: Prayer for Ukraine and for Peace<\/a>, Archbishop of Montreal Christian L\u00e9pine will celebrate a Mass for peace.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n<p>Following this Mass, the Blessed Sacrament will be exposed until the celebration of the Saturday Mass at 5:00 p.m.<\/p>\n\n<p>\u201cNo matter what the problem may be, we know that war is not the answer and only leads to the loss of innocent lives. The Russian invasion of Ukraine is an attack on the Ukrainian people and a cause of great anguish for Ukrainians and people of Ukrainian descent around the world, in Canada, in Quebec and in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Montreal,\u201d wrote Archbishop L\u00e9pine. \u201cI call on all the people of our diocese to fast and pray for peace in Ukraine, for the victims of the attacks, the soldiers, the civilians and the grief-stricken families. Let us pray for an end to the military aggression under way. Let us pray for all of the people in Russia.
