This month, Pope Francis shares his personal story: “When I was 17\u2026 I wasn\u2019t thinking at all of being a priest. But one day, I went into the church\u2026and God was there, waiting for me!\u201d<\/p>\n\n
\u201cGod still calls young people even today, sometimes in ways we can\u2019t imagine,\u201d he says in The Pope Video for February, produced by his Worldwide Prayer Network in collaboration with Vatican Media and The Archdiocese of Los Angeles.<\/p>\n\n
Pope Francis invites us to trust in young people and the Holy Spirit at work in their lives. Let us create spaces in our communities to support their dreams, doubts, and discernment journeys.<\/p>\n\n
\u201cLet us pray that the ecclesial community might welcome the desires and doubts of those young people who feel called to live Jesus\u2019s mission in life: either through the priestly life, or religious life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n

God still calls young people even today, sometimes in ways we can\u2019t imagine. Sometimes we don\u2019t hear because we\u2019re too busy with our own things, our own plans, even with our own things in the Church.<\/p>\n\n
But the Holy Spirit also speaks to us through dreams, and speaks to us through the concerns young people feel in their hearts. If we accompany their journeys, we\u2019ll see how God is doing new things with them. And we\u2019ll be able to welcome His call in ways that better serve the Church and the world today.<\/p>\n\n
Let\u2019s trust young people! And, above all, let\u2019s trust God for He calls everyone!<\/p>\n\n
