But knowing his name isn&#8217;t the same as truly knowing him.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For Christians, Jesus is not simply a spiritual teacher or a remarkable man. <strong>He is the Son of God made man, who came to share our humanity and lead us to the Father.<\/strong> Through his life, his words, his death, and his resurrection, he reveals the love of God \u2014 a love that draws near, forgives, lifts us up, and opens a path to new life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>At the heart of Christian faith, then, is an encounter with Jesus Christ.<\/strong> Today, as ever, he calls each of us to follow him, to know the Father, and to learn from him a new way of loving and living.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-pullquote\"><blockquote><p><em>\u201cI am the way, and the truth, and the life.\u201d<\/em><\/p><cite><em>John 14:6<\/em><\/cite><\/blockquote><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">To begin getting to know him:<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Read a few pages of one of the Gospels \u2014 Mark or Luke are good places to start;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Attend Mass and listen for the Word being proclaimed;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Talk with someone of faith, or a member of a parish team;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Take a few quiet minutes and simply say: \u201cJesus, help me to know you.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Jesus of Nazareth is one of the most familiar names in history.
