It runs deeper than that: it&#8217;s the confidence that God loves us, that he remains present in our story, and that evil and death do not have the final word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This joy is received, and it&#8217;s cultivated. It grows when we pray, celebrate the Eucharist, receive forgiveness, share life in community, and put ourselves at the service of others.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It can coexist with fatigue, tears, or unanswered questions.
